morning update.

today is superbowl sunday. i haven't actually sat down and watched said superbowl since i was like ... ten. i used to watch it just for fun all that time ago, but now it's more of an afterthought since i really don't have any idea of the teams or anything that's actually playing.

but maybe today i'll bother to watch it. i slept well last night, and i have two new books (courtesy of nate's christmas present, a borders giftcard) "cryptonomicon" by neal stephenson (a thick, huge book) and "the maltese falcon", dashiell hammett's noir crime novel. i tried to finish up "gormenghast" last night, but fell asleep anyway. which i suppose is surprising, since i have been getting up at eight in the morning every day - class on tuesday and thursday, and work on wednesday and friday, and class on saturday. so the only two days i get to sleep in on are mondays and sundays. which is enjoyable.
